Leadership transition and Secretariat updates at ChildFund Alliance

July 2, 2026 by ChildFund Alliance

After more than 10 years as Secretary General of ChildFund Alliance, Meg Gardinier has stepped down from this role at the end of June.

During her tenure, Meg has played a significant role in strengthening ChildFund Alliance as a global network of child-focused development and humanitarian organisations.

Her leadership has helped support collaboration across our members, advance our shared advocacy, and drive collective action to create positive change for children around the world.

We are deeply grateful for Meg’s commitment, leadership and service to ChildFund Alliance, our members, and the children, families and communities at the heart of our work.

ChildFund Alliance is also pleased to welcome Cecilia Carolina Delaney Mendezas as Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist.

She has previously held roles with UNICEF, Save the Children, and HelpAge International. We warmly welcome Cecelia to the Secretariat and look forward to the contribution she will make to the Alliance and its members.

Farewell and thank you to Faith Nimineh

We are also sad to farewell Faith Nimineh, who has held numerous roles during her seven years with ChildFund Alliance, most recently as Senior Advisor, Humanitarian Affairs.

Faith’s support, expertise and commitment have made a vital contribution to the work of the Alliance and its members. Through her work, she has helped strengthen ChildFund Alliance’s humanitarian engagement, supporting collaboration, coordination and shared action across the network.

We are deeply grateful for Faith’s dedication and service, and wish her every success in her next chapter.

Continuing our shared work for children

This is an important period of transition for ChildFund Alliance. Throughout this change, our focus remains firmly on our shared mission: working together to create a world where children are safe, protected, respected and able to realise their rights.
