What Is ChildFund Alliance?

ChildFund Alliance is a global network of 10 child-focused development and humanitarian organizations, supporting nearly 36 million children and their families across 66 countries.

Together, our members work to end violence and exploitation against children; deliver child-sensitive humanitarian action in fragile and crisis-affected contexts; and promote climate policies and programming that uphold and amplify the voices of children and youth.

We partner with children, families, and communities to drive lasting, meaningful change, with children’s participation at the heart of our approach. Our collective commitment, resources, innovation, and expertise form a powerful force that helps create safer, more resilient environments where children can thrive and families can build more hopeful futures.

Our vision is a world in which all children enjoy their rights and achieve their full potential.

Our Mission

Together with children, we create sustainable solutions that protect and advance
their rights and well-being.

How We Work

Member organizations promote child sponsorship as a comprehensive and meaningful approach to child development. ChildFund Alliance members create sustainable child-focused, community-based development programs in areas where children are impacted by war, natural disaster, poverty and global health issues such as HIV/AIDS.

Programs address education, health, nutrition, micro-enterprise and economic development, and emergency response and psychosocial interventions. ChildFund works in partnership with local communities. The participation of children themselves is a key component of our approach.

The ChildFund Alliance Secretariat oversees the day-to-day operations of the Alliance. It develops and works with members to implement Alliance-wide strategy, standards and policies. The Secretariat represents the Alliance at international forums such as the United Nations and the European Union.
