Children’s Agency and the Right to be Heard on COVID-19 Response and Recovery Interactive Joining Forces Alliance Forum

Friday, 20 November, 8:00 – 9:30 AM (EST)

On 20 November, ChildFund Alliance will facilitate a global event with our Joining Forces partners to elevate children’s voices on Universal Children’s Day (UCD). Young people from around the world will exercise their right to be heard as afforded by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, with a special focus on COVID-19 response and recovery.

Also known as World Children’s Day, a United Nations’ Resolution first established Universal Children’s Day in 1954. Celebrated annually, the day promotes international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare. Since 1990, UCD marks the anniversaries of when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989).
We invite you to join us during this virtual program aimed at providing young people the opportunity to present their perspectives to a global audience on a day recognized around the world for advocating, promoting and celebrating children’s rights. Program sessions will feature comments and observations from children and youth, an interactive child-led panel, remarks from high-level actors, and video statements from children around the globe.

RSVP details are coming soon.
