ChildFund Alliance invited to speak at Irish conference on post-2015 agenda

ChildFund Alliance are one of the guest speakers at the “Making Rights a Reality” conference being held in Ireland this week (June 18) to discuss how the post-2015 agenda will shape the lives of children and young people.

ChildFund Ireland is a founding member of the Coalition for Children’s Rights who are hosting the conference at Dublin Castle in partnership with the Children’s Rights Alliance and the National Youth Council of Ireland.

One of the objectives of the conference is to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to re-think children’s rights and needs and to develop a more effective and transparent framework to ensure a better realisation of children’s and youth’s rights.

They heard from two youth ambassadors from Ireland and Romania and other speakers included: Niall Tierney - Development Specialist and head of Irish Aid post-2015 framework; Tanya Ward - Director, Children Rights Alliance; Professor Trevor Spratt – Director of Children’s Research Centre, Trinity College Dublin and Amanda Laundry – Post-2015 Policy Advisor, Plan International.
