ChildFund Australia in Papua New Guinea

One of Australia's closest neighbors, Papua New Guinea has some of the worst human development indicators in the world with high child and maternal mortality rates, limited access to health care and up to half of all children not attending school.

Despite the country's recent political turmoil, ChildFund PNG has made significant progress in delivering programs to impoverished children and communities in the areas of health, education, food security, water and sanitation, child rights and HIV and AIDS.

ChildFund is now turning its attention to one of the biggest human rights challenges faced in the country: violence against women and children.
