WeWorld in Guatemala

Among Latin American countries, Guatemala has some of the highest levels of inequality, poverty, malnutrition, and maternal and child mortality in the region. Furthermore, the country is particularly subject to the consequences of climate change and extreme environmental phenomena, such as chronic drought, which affects the so-called corredor seco area.

WeWorld has been present in Guatemala since 1994, providing support to the most vulnerable sections of the population through projects aimed at improving food security, women's and children's rights, socio-economic development, education and WASH programmes.
