WeWorld has been present in Cuba since 1993. Initially, our interventions were focused on humanitarian assistance to support people impacted by the economic crisis of the early 1990s.

Over the years, we have implemented projects in the areas of food, health, education, and socio-economic development, in addition to interventions to reduce the risk of natural disasters. 

Most recently, WeWorld has also worked to improve gender equality, promote participatory processes, and enhance local skills, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable groups in the country: the elderly, young people, women and children.
