ChildFund Deutschland in Ukraine
Since 2003 ChildFund Deutschland has been working in Ukraine, a largely overlooked country that is beset by conflict. After Russia occupied the region of Crimea in 2014 and undertook a campaign of aggression in southeast Ukraine, ChildFund Deutschland was forced to change its focus in the country. It now supports several local partners that are working with internally displaced people.
Since the Russian invasion, ChildFund Deutschland has expanded its humanitarian response program. This now includes distributing basic needs, medical assistance, psychosocial support for children, cash transfers, and evacuation assistance.
