Carolin Schiemenz serves as Co-CEO, helping to lead the independent children´s aid organization that has been working since 1978 to improve the future prospects of children in need, their families and their entire environment on an international scale.

Over the years, Carolin has become a proven branch expert. Before joining ChildFund Deutschland, she has been working as head of the program department at IsraAID Deutschland e.V. Prior to that, she also worked in the program and project area at Save the Children Germany, Kindernothilfe and Plan International.

Carolin gained international experience as a project manager for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Afghanistan and as a project staff member of an NGO in Tanzania.

Carolin joined ChildFund Deutschland in 2023.
